The Oktyabrskaya Hotel was built in the late Soviet period using beautiful Dagestan shell rock. Developing the reconstruction project, we decided not to dramatically change the existing façade but rather carefully treat the heritage adding a bit of trends to the architecture of the past.
Having modernized the entrance group, we solved two problems: added a canopy to protect arriving guests from rain and also increased the area of the ground floor, making it more comfortable for a large number of people to be at the reception at the same time. The red granite, referring to the rocks of the Stolby Natural Park, is keeping on in the lobby, creating a single architectural concept.
Two new top floors will accommodate a sky bar with panoramic views of the downtown and the Spa center. With the help of lighting, we got especially impressive looking at night façade, whereas the combination of dark horizontal and light illuminated vertical elements makes the shape deep and rhythmic.
