Bulgakov Bar is our first large HORECA project that is still very popular and up-to-date. A library styled bar is supposed to reflect writer’s masterpieces in a very straightforward manner. Such idea however seemed quite plain to us and we were inspired by sophisticated epoch of Bulgakov’s life in this oeuvre. We tried to design an ambience of the time when bourgeois values of Tsar’s Russia coexisted with new mode of life and communal apartments: from centrally located remarkable statue of the woman with a folk to communal flat-like bathroom.
